Donte’ Lindsay

Pitching

Co Owner Donte Lindsay is a brother, uncle & engaged father of 1 (Kylie Lindsay) from Cleveland, Ohio. He is a 2013 graduate of John F Kennedy High School. He attended Division 1 Bethune Cookman University on a 4-year scholarship from 2013-2017. He was a 3-year starting pitcher, a part of a recruiting class that has the most Regional Wins in program history.

Donte’s Senior Year he was a team Captain who helped lead Bethune Cookman to one of the best seasons in Program History. One of his best outings was a complete game 1 hitter vs North Carolina Central where he surrendered his only hit in the last inning of the game. His senior year he pitched a Complete game to help Bethune Cookman University secure their 3rd conference championship in 4 years. Donte started the Regional semi final championship game vs Florida University resulting in a win to force Bethune Cookman’s first regional Championship appearance in program history.

As a Freshman he won hardest working Freshman, an award the coaching staff had never given out before. This is a testament to the level of focus & commitment he holds for all players he has trained as he transitioned from College pitcher to player development.

Donte Lindsay is known on social media as PitchingWithDonte where he has gained thousands of followers & millions of views for his knowledge of pitching & player development. Donte’s platform has allowed him to train players online from different states throughout the country. He has had players even drive 8hrs to train with him.

Donte has 8 years of experience training pitchers as young as 7 years old up to College & Independent professional pitchers. Since starting in 2017 Donte has been a part of the development of over 50+ College Commits. He has Coached several pitchers to gain velocity & reach 90MPH. He has helped players go from throwing mid 70s to low 90s & players throwing low 80s reach low 90s.

Donte’s player development style is geared towards players getting strong, explosive, mobile, athletic & help them improve their sequencing in their delivery resulting in gaining velocity in a safe manner.

Torrey Roper

Hitting and Outfield

Torrey Roper is from Shaker Heights, Ohio where he graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 2018. His first full season came in 2021 with Bryant & Stratton College (OH). Torrey helped the Bobcats win a conference championship in the program’s inaugural season. He was awarded OCCAC Player of the Year & 1st Team All-Conference honors that season.

Roper finished up his playing career at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (Indiana, PA) as a 2-year starting Outfielder. In 2022, he helped the Crimson Hawks complete the largest turnaround in Division 2 history, with a 25-win improvement from the previous season. In 2023, Torrey contributed to IUP’s deepest conference playoff run in over a decade. 

Torrey is back for a second stint with Bryant & Stratton as an Assistant Coach for the ‘25-‘26 season after being with the Bobcats as an Assistant during the ‘23-‘24 season. Roper was an Assistant with Division 1 Mercyhurst during the ‘24-‘25 season. 

Roper also has head coach experience as a collegiate summer ball Manager. In ‘24, he was the Field Manager of the Badlands Big Sticks in the Northwoods League. In ‘25, Torrey was a Head Coach in the Sho Me Collegiate League. 

Torrey has trained a wide range of players in the Northeast Ohio area from 5th graders to collegiate players the past 3 years. He helps instruct with local programs such as DNA Baseball & Diamond Kings. Roper specializes in hitting, outfield defense, base running, and mental approach. 

Jonathon Tasis

Hitting, Catching and Infield

Jonathan Tasis is a proud community member, husband, and father living in Shaker Heights. Originally from Miami, Florida, Jonathan played high school baseball where he was a two-time All-County selection. His success on the field earned him a scholarship to Point Park University, where he became the first person in his family to graduate from college.

At Point Park, Jonathan started games at five different positions: catcher, first base, third base, left field, and right field. After college, he played three years of professional baseball in the Pecos League and two winters in the Panama MLB Winter League. During his professional career, he started a game at every position except pitcher.

After his playing career, Jonathan transitioned into coaching travel baseball and giving lessons. His Class of 2026 travel team was ranked among the top 50 in the country, and he has helped more than 20 players continue their baseball careers at the collegiate level, from Division I programs to junior colleges.

Jonathan believes baseball is more than a game. It builds community, confidence, and creates opportunities that can change lives.

John Bufford

Pitching and Strength & Conditioning

John Bufford is a 2019 graduate of Benedictine High School where he was a standout baseball player earning Firth Team All-Ohio. John went on the pitch at Mercyhurst University. While at Mercyhurst John developed year after year reaching 95MPH with his fastball. Reaching that goal taught John the discipline, preparation & resilience it took to succeed.

As John transitions into training & developing athletes he understands the level of commitment it takes to push players to that next level. John’s journey will allow him to connect with players because he doesn’t just instruct other players on their development, he lived it. John will develop pitchers & work as a strength & conditioning coach at D&S Elite Performance.

Jim Humpal

Hitting and Catching

Son of legendary Ohio High School Hall of Fame Coach Jim Humpal Sr. and former Owner of the Triple Play Baseball Academy for 22 years. Coach Humpal has coached baseball in Ohio for nearly 25 years! His teams at Triple Play have always played with his fiery spirit, with high baseball IQ and unmatched drive!

Coach Humpal has been training catchers for 30 years and many boys who Coach has trained have successfully moved on to play at higher levels. Coach Jim has decided to continue his legendary carer, lending his experience to the Elite Performance Staff!

Are walk-ins allowed?

 

Yes, we accept walk-ins! Feel free to come in to tour the facility or book online. Lessons with coaches must be booked in advance because they come in based on appointments.

 

What do I need to bring?

 

Bring your own gloves & bats (do not bring baseballs or softballs)

 

What items are not allowed?

 

Cleats, sunflower seeds or tobacco inside the training facility are strictly prohibited.

 

Will you have a FungoMan Dual Pitching Machine?

 

Yes, January 2026 we will unveil these. We will be sharing details on a FREE day for anyone to try these machines that offer baseballs, fastpitch and slow-pitch in one single lane.

 

Can we purchase merchandise and gear?
